Rev. Dr. Victor Craig Wilson

Rev. Dr. Victor Craig Wilson was
born in Brooklyn, New York to the late
Reverend and Mrs. Charles Joseph Wilson
(former pastor in the AME Zion Church).
He has one sister, Eulla Wilson and have
two children Akeem and Makayla. Dr.
Wilson accepted his call to the
Christian ministry and preached his
trial sermon on November 28, 1993, at
Rock Grove AME Zion Church, Rock Hill,
SC. The late Dr. Ralph Vernon Washington
is his father in the ministry.
Dr. Wilson earned an Associate of
Arts Degree in Computer Engineering
Technology from York Technical College,
Rock Hill, SC; a Bachelor of Science
Degree (Cum Laude) in Business
Administration from Livingstone College,
Salisbury, NC; a Master of Divinity
Degree from Hood Theological Seminary,
Salisbury, NC; and a Doctor of Ministry
Degree with an emphasis in Pastoral
Care, from Gardner Webb University,
Boiling Springs, NC. He has received
training and certification in Clinical
Pastoral Education (CPE) at Carolinas
Medical Center-Mercy, Charlotte, NC, and
the Institute for Church Administration
and Management (ICAM) at the
Interdenominational Theological Center
(ITC), Atlanta, GA.
A gifted preacher, teacher,
author, motivational speaker, builder
and community activist, Dr. Wilson
served Mount Zion AME Zion Church, Fort
Mill, SC, United AME Zion Church, Fort
Mill, SC, Mount Zion AME Zion Church,
Augusta, GA, Mount Zion AME Zion Church,
Lancaster, SC, and Pineville AME Zion
Church, Rock Hill, SC. He is currently
serving as the Pastor of Trinity AME
Zion Church, Woodruff, SC, and the
Presiding Elder of The Spartanburg
District of The South Atlantic Episcopal
District of The African Methodist
Episcopal Zion Churchl.
In the South Carolina Conference,
Dr. Wilson chaired the Board of
Christian Education, served as a
Conference Instructor, and served as a
member of the Board of Examiners, the
Holy Orders Committee, and the Strategic
Planning Committee. In the Georgia
Annual Conference, he chaired the Home
Missions Board, served as a Conference
Instructor and as a member of the
Finance Committee. He was also the
Augusta District Treasurer. Dr. Wilson
also served as Chair of District
Fellowship & Appreciation and Chair of
the Finance Committee in the Rock Hill
District. He served in the Pee Dee
Conference as a Conference Trustee and
as a member of the following
committees: Finance, Conference
Development, and Conference Studies. He
also served as Chairperson for District
Studies and the Budget and Finance Chair
on the Lancaster District. He is a
Silver Life member and a member of the
Executive Board of the Lancaster Branch
of the NAACP. He currently serves as the
Episcopal Chief of Protocol for The
South Atlantic Episcopal District. He is
the Palmetto Conference’ Treasurer,
Co-Chair of Conference Studies, Chair of
Holy Orders and Conference Trustees. He
also serves on the Connectional Board of
Christian Education for the African
Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. He is a
life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Inc.
